Want to learn more about the employees ?
Redcats transformation and its international brands’ development define new challenges for the Human resources.
In 2010, Redcats started to overhaul its internal university and in 2011 the Group launches a School of e-commerce to adapt content to the new challenges facing business lines.
In parallel, Redcats continued to assist its least-qualified employees by way of two programmes: Validation of Learning through Experience (VAE) and Inter-Industry Professional Qualification Certificates (CQPI). 76 certificates were awarded to logistics crews at La Redoute and Movitex – four times as many as in 2009.
These certificates certify that the employees concerned have the necessary skills to engage in cross-functional activities serving several industrial spheres.
In the interest of publicising these programmes, La Redoute held employment forums to inform staff about all the development opportunities that the Company offers. Altogether, 340 employees took part in these forums.
Beyond its CSR commitment, Redcats launched a series of measures aimed at reinforcing the employability of its workforce. The Group has seen extremely positive results from its initiative to promote job opportunities for the disabled. Under French law, disabled people must make up at least 6% of a company’s workforce and in 2010 Redcats exceeded this requirement having steadily increased its figure from 4 % in 2004 to more than 7% in 2010.
