• 1982 Redcats USA acquires Roaman’s.

• 1932 New York. David Roaman opens up a women’s apparel shop on 5^th Avenue. His objective: to satisfy the demands of plus size women that the department stores of the period were neglecting. His collection of plus-size styles meet with such success that he subsequently opens 50 stores. His mail-order catalog becomes No. 2 on the American market.
