Redcats Group and Wehkamp to cooperate on common business activity in the Netherlands
Through its Nordic brands, Redcats Group and Wehkamp to cooperate on common business activity in the Netherlands.
Paris/Gotteborg/Zwolle, February 19th, 2007. Redcats Group, and Wehkamp Retail bv announce the launch of a common commercial activity in the Netherlands. Starting February 19th, Wehkamp will sell Redcats Nordic (Ellos and Josefssons) products on the web in the Dutch market.
During this first test, in the 2007 Spring Summer season, a limited selection of Redcats Nordic private labels apparel products for women and men will be sold on the Wehkamp web site.
Thierry Falque-Pierrotin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Redcats Group, underlines: “This commercial agreement supports Redcats Group strategy to accelerate the internationalization of its major private labels, and demonstrates the appeal of our brands product lines.”
Gerard Marsman, Chief Executive Officer of Wehkamp declares: “Wehkamp.nl is the leading home shopping brand in Holland and well known to the Dutch customers for its wide range of products (24.000 articles). The Redcats Nordic collection gives an Scandinavian touch to our fashion range and is, as such, a welcome addition. We will monitor the reaction of our Dutch customers with great interest.”
This commercial agreement allows Redcats Nordic brands, already present in 5 countries, to enlarge their product exposure to the Netherlands, and will strengthen the position of wehkamp.nl as the leading fashion web retailer in The Netherlands.
